E-cigarette use has become more widespread in recent years. Research has only just begun to explore the potential health effects of e-cigarette use and its efficacy as a cessation tool.

Scholars suggest that smoking is currently one of the most critical issues for the LGBT population. Approximately 30,000 people in the US LGBT population die from tobacco related illnesses every year. 

MDQuit’s 11th annual Best Practices Conference was held on January 26, 2017 at the Turf Valley Resort in Ellicott City, MD. This year’s conference theme was “Addressing Health and Social Disparities in Tobacco Use.”
